Reactive Gunworks is committed to responsible firearms sales and strict compliance with federal and state law. All purchases are subject to the eligibility requirements on this page. By placing an order, you confirm that you meet them.
Minimum Age Requirements
Federal law sets the following minimums for purchases from a licensed dealer:
- Long guns (rifles and shotguns): 18 years old
- Handguns: 21 years old
- NFA items (suppressors, SBRs, etc.): 21 years old
- Ammunition: 18 years old (21 for handgun ammunition in certain states)
Some states impose stricter requirements. It is your responsibility to know and comply with the age laws in your state. We reserve the right to cancel any order where age requirements cannot be verified.
Prohibited Persons
Under 18 U.S.C. § 922(g), it is unlawful to purchase, possess, or receive a firearm if you:
- Have been convicted of a felony or any crime punishable by more than one year of imprisonment
- Are under indictment or information for a felony
- Are a fugitive from justice
- Are an unlawful user of or addicted to any controlled substance
- Have been adjudicated as mentally defective or committed to a mental institution
- Are an illegal alien or nonimmigrant visa holder (with limited exceptions)
- Have been dishonorably discharged from the U.S. Armed Forces
- Have renounced U.S. citizenship
- Are subject to a qualifying domestic violence restraining order
- Have been convicted of a misdemeanor crime of domestic violence
This list reflects federal law and is not exhaustive — state law may add further prohibitions. By ordering any firearm, you certify under penalty of law that you are not a prohibited person.
Straw Purchases
A straw purchase — buying a firearm on behalf of someone else who is the actual intended recipient — is a federal felony under 18 U.S.C. § 922(a)(6), punishable by up to 10 years in prison and $250,000 in fines.
By placing an order, you certify that you are the actual buyer and are not acquiring the firearm for another person.
We cooperate fully with law enforcement investigations of suspected straw purchases.
State & Local Law
Firearms laws vary significantly by state and locality. You are solely responsible for understanding and complying with all applicable laws in your jurisdiction before purchasing any firearm, NFA item, or accessory. This includes:
- Assault weapons laws and feature restrictions
- Magazine capacity limits
- Waiting periods
- State permit or license requirements
- Local ordinances that may be more restrictive than state law
We reserve the right to cancel any order where the transfer would be unlawful in your jurisdiction. If cancelled for this reason, you receive a refund minus a restocking fee starting at 5% depending on the item.
Verification at Transfer
Your age and identity are verified by your receiving FFL dealer at the time of transfer as part of the ATF Form 4473 process. You must present valid government-issued photo ID. If valid ID cannot be provided, the transfer cannot be completed. We are not responsible for transfers that fail due to inability to verify age or identity.
Right to Refuse
We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order, decline to complete any transfer, or terminate any customer account if we have reason to believe that applicable laws or our policies have been or may be violated. This right exists independently of any background check result.
