Consignment Terms

We sell firearms on consignment for their owners. You get the gun to us, we do the rest, and you're paid when it sells.

What we take

We're a curated shop rather than a general used counter, so we're selective. We do best with the kind of guns we already carry: premium and custom pistols, 2011s, custom Glocks, high-end 1911s, competition builds, and work from the makers on our brands page. Complete guns move better than bare ones, so original case, spare magazines, paperwork, and extra parts all count for something.

We also take NFA items. See below.

We turn down guns we don't have a buyer for, guns needing work we haven't agreed to in advance, and anything you can't show clear ownership of. If we pass, we'll usually point you to where it will sell.

What it costs

Nothing up front, and nothing at all if it doesn't sell. We're paid a commission out of a completed sale, and we quote it per item before you commit to anything.

The rate depends on what the gun is, what it's worth, and how fast we expect it to move. A five-figure collectible and an $1,800 carry gun don't take the same work or carry the same risk, so they don't carry the same rate. You'll have the exact number and your net in writing before anything ships.

What the commission covers, with nothing billed separately: photography, the listing, credit card processing, and marketplace fees where we cross-list.

How it works

  1. Tell us what you have, through the Sell Your Firearm form or by email. Photos help.
  2. We come back with what we think it brings, roughly how long, our commission, and your net.
  3. If that works, you get it to us. Drop it off in Fruitland, or ship it through your FFL to ours. Inbound shipping is on you and we'll walk you through it.
  4. We photograph it on our own equipment, write it up, and put it live on our site and on GunBroker where that makes sense. We send you the link.
  5. It stays insured in our safe until it sells. We field buyer questions and ship it the day it sells.
  6. You're paid within 10 business days of the funds clearing and the transfer completing. Check or ACH.

Terms

  • Price. You set it. We'll tell you what we think it's worth and we'll come to you if it isn't moving, but we don't change a listed price without your written OK.
  • Term. 60 days, then month to month. After the first 60 days you can pull it with a week's notice.
  • While we have it. Stored in our safe with our own inventory and insured at the agreed value. Not shot, carried, disassembled, or loaned out.
  • Records. Consigned guns go into our bound book on arrival and out to the buyer's FFL the same as anything else we sell. Every transfer runs through a licensed dealer with a background check.
  • Getting it back. If it doesn't sell, return shipping is on you, and out of state it goes back through your FFL. In state, come pick it up.
  • Ownership. You'll confirm in writing that the firearm is yours, that it isn't stolen, and that nobody else has a claim on it.

NFA items

We take suppressors, SBRs, and SBSs. Same process, with one difference: the paperwork runs on ATF's clock, not ours. It transfers to us on a Form 3, sits in our inventory while listed, then goes to the buyer on a Form 4. If it doesn't sell, sending it back to you is another Form 4, so consign an NFA item only if you're done with it.
